In 2009, Harald Hoevenaar founded the Cooperyacht brand and launched a classic launch, the Cooper 745. Following the success of this model, a next model was soon launched — the Cooper 800. A model that grew to become a true favourite among most Cooper customers.
In 2019, the Cooper 680 came to market and was immediately named 'Boat of the Year 2020' the following year, having been chosen as the most ideal yacht for Dutch waters. Easy to handle, elegant lines and a true family boat.
For Cooper owners who wanted a greater range with more onboard comfort, a multiday cruiser was developed — the Cooper 1000.
Since its founding, the company in the Netherlands has grown from two to 15 people, and a service and maintenance department was established for its customers in the Netherlands. At our shipyard in Cambodia, more than 60 people now work, having built all our beautiful boats.
Over the years, more than 500 Coopers have been built and can be found on various (international) waters.

2009
The Foundation
Harald Hoevenaar establishes Cooper Yacht in the Netherlands. His vision: stylish, comfortable vessels with a perfect combination of design, performance and pleasure.
2010
Cooper 745 — The Debut
The classic Cooper 745 launches to immediate acclaim. Its clean Dutch lines and exceptional seakeeping set the tone for every model that follows.
2013
Cooper 800 — A Fan Favourite
Following early success, Harald designs the Cooper 800. Spacious, seaworthy and unmistakably elegant, it quickly becomes the most popular model in the fleet.
2016
CooperStudio Is Born
The design arm CooperStudio is formalised, handling yacht and tender design in-house. Clients can now work directly with Harald to customise every detail of their vessel.
2019
Global Expansion
Cooper Yacht extends its reach into Scandinavian, German, UK, Spanish, Asian and Australian markets. The sister shipyard in Cambodia employs more than 60 craftspeople.
2020
Boat of the Year
The Cooper 680 is awarded Boat of the Year. The citation praises its award-winning design, elegant lines and unmatched ease of handling for family cruising.
Today
500+ on the Water
From one founder and a single hull to 15 employees and more than 500 Cooper vessels sailing the world's waters. The passion for stylish, comfortable design remains unchanged.
